As a child who grew up loving to watch entertainment news, Ezinne is influenced by media broadcasts. Born and raised
in Houston, she is a member of the Class of 2009. She plays a very active role in many clubs such as Tiger Squad, Activity
Council of Travis, Travis Link Crew and the Travis Media Team. She is in love with anything that deals with fashion, Spongebob,
and Chris Brown. She is a big fan of basketball and her two favorite teams are the Cavaliers and the Lakers. During her free
time, she loves hanging out with friends, watching tv and shopping. Ezinne is a down to earth person adn loves to have fun.

Daniele was born in Jamaica and has four brothers and four sisters. She is a member of the Class of 2011. She enjoys
singing and going out with friends. She hopes to major in business administration at the University of Texas in Dallas. Her
goal in life is to become a role model and a positive person to people less fortunate. She likes to spend time with her friends
and family. Her dream is to be a CEO, but for now she is just enjoying newspaper.

Bria was born in San Antonio and moved to Houston in 1996. She has two brothers and two sisters. She describes herself
as having a "weird personality" and would like to change her name to Bria-Kelis. Bria is a self-described computer freak and
enjoys making layouts and updating her MySpace page. She hopes to attend college at Georgia State University and eventually
move to California or New York to become a veterinarian. She is a fan of tattoos and body piercings.

Beth is a member of the Class of 2011. She enjoys hockey and loves to have fun all the time. She loves to watch sports,
play guitar, shop, talk on the phone and hang out with friends.

Ashton is a member of the Class of 2009 and has been a photographer for the newspaper staff for two years. She is on
the tennis team and works at Randalls after school.

Alex is a member of the Class of 2010. He is a member of the Student Council and the broadcast team. Alex enjoys reading
and playing music, and is a hard worker in school and in life.

Alex is a member of the Class of 2010 and plays football. In addition, he loves computers and music. He feels he was
placed here on Earth to make a difference. And he did...he created some great sports yearbook pages.

Niesha, a member of the Class of 2009, has been in journalism programs for six years, gaining experience on both newspaper
and yearbook. She has competed in UIL and other journalism competitions. Niesha is the captain and top scorer of the girls'
soccer team. She is in TLC, Spanish Club, the Travis Media Team and soccer. She is involved in both school and outside activities.
Niesha hopes to be a cosmetic dentist and recreational journalist.

Dianne Smith teaches journalism and advises the Travis Media Team, which includes the newspaper, yearbook, photography
and video staffs. She is a member of the Journalism Education Association and serves as webmaster for the Texas Association
of Journalism Educators. She is the recipient of numerous state and national awards including the Edith Fox King Award for
outstanding contributions to scholastic journalism in Texas (Interscholastic League Press Conference), the Trailblazer Award
for leading the way in technology (Texas Association of Journalism Educators); and the Texas Journalism Teacher of the Year
in 2003 (Texas Press Women). Additionally, Smith was named a Special Recognition Adviser by the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund
in 2001 and was a finalist for the National Teacher of the Year in 2003. She is a member of Who's Who Among American Teachers
and the Manchester Who's Who. In 2002 she was named a First Amendment Mentor Teacher by Newsweek and the Freedom
Forum. She also serves on the Student Press Rights Commission of the Journalism Education Association and is First Amendment
Issues Chairman for TAJE. Smith has been certified as a Master Journalism Educator by the Journalism Education
Association. She has authored two scholastic journalism textbooks for high school students and has co-authored two for middle
schools with Tom Kaup of the Seattle, Washington, area. She is working on a textbook on convergent media which will be published
in 2009.
